Story of Salvation

Being exposed to Jesus from birth, I watched other believers and my parents live life with an undertone of peace.  This undertone of peace was Jesus.  Blessings were abundant but so were trials in life.  I observed this peace and longed to personally experience it.  At age four and a half,  I asked my parents to help me know Jesus more.  My father brought me in his office.  I sat on his knee and we looked at what God had written in His word for me.  After talking with him about the scriptures he asked me if I wanted to believe in Jesus.  Without hesitation, I declared, “YES” .  We immediately prayed and I wrote it down in my bible (I still have those words in childlike handwriting) .  I ran to tell my mom with an excitement I still remember to this day.  That was the start of my salvation story and Jesus continues to write my story daily declaring Himself to me in creation, through personal times of study, forgiveness, and worship.  I am thankful for His faithfulness, grace and mercy!

Life & Family

I was born in Maine and grew up in the New England area until heading off to college in PA. I graduated from Cairn Univeristy (then, PCB) in December 1997 with a Bachelors in Bible and Bachelors in Elementary Education. Ryan and I were married in May of 1998 and we later had 3 awesome children: Chris, Seth and Neva. I am a daughter of the King, wife and mother to 3!

Prayer for Hope Community Church

My prayer for Hope is that our children and families will never stop learning about the grace of God no matter what age.  Jesus finds delight to know that His children are growing in Him in all seasons of life and He never leaves His children.  My heart desires our children to be shaped by the living word of God and that they are equipped to live out His truth now and throughout their lives.

Role at Hope Community Church

Serving as the Children’s Ministry Director at Hope, I oversee our Infants – 5th grade program.  This includes building a theologically sound scope and sequence , offering opportunities for our children to experience learning about God, planning events that involve children and families, supporting our Children’s Ministry Volunteers, organizing and leading VBS DAY CAMP once a year in the Summer and teaching specific classes to equip our children and parents in different areas.
