We are so excited to have all of our students serving together this year! Simply put, our Middle Schoolers will serve like they have at Extravaganza in the past (helping at VBS, serving alongside local organizations in the afternoon, and having a blast together as we learn and play at night) while our High Schoolers step into specific leadership roles within VBS and Extravaganza.  Overall, we’ll have time in God’s word and worship, time serving our church and community, and time having a ton of fun together. We’ll sleep over at church and do it all over again the next morning!

During the week,  high school students will help lead and guide different areas of VBS or help Pastor Kyle give our middle schoolers an unforgettable week. Click the link below for more details about each week.

This is an intense weekend for our current high school students to continue learning how to serve and care for others. Jesus is pretty clear when saying “if you love me you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15) and we’ll be seeking to do just that while we’re away. We can’t wait to practice putting our own desires aside for God’s glory and the good of others. God calls us to love and have compassion for all we come into contact with, regardless of their situation or background.

Our High School students currently in 9th through 12th grade will be serving, learning, and growing  in a couple different ways.  Watershed Church is hosting us and will be giving us opportunities to come alongside different ongoing service projects they do throughout the year to serve their community in Philadelphia. Our main goal is to learn about and from other people who have a very different lifestyle than our own. A big part of having compassion for others is listening and learning their story. All people are made in God’s image and should be cared for.

What is Harvey Cedars?! The beach, fun games and sports, great speakers, an awesome band (HeartSong!) and a week without the ‘rents. What teenager doesn’t like an awesome week away from home with their friends?!? A week at HCBC is such an awesome opportunity for our teens to have intentional time away to grow their relationships with the Lord and each other.
